today's the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar , which is also 2009 年1 月1 日 .
in other words , year 2009 has arrived if we qo by the lunar calendar ! (:

durinq this festival , the Chinese will eat a kind of dumplinqs , known as 汤圆 ! :D
of course , what I like about this festival is definitely the yummy dumplinqs ! :D
they aren't the normal nyonya dumplinqs sold outside .
they come in different colours - pink , oranqe .

ta-daa ! :D

this year , I'd decided to cook the dumplinqs myself ! :D




of course , I did it with the quidance of my dear mummy ! (:

I'm havinq this sudden crave for marshmallows soaked in milk .

it was xiu hui jie who introduced her unique way of eatinq marshmallows to me .

but with recent news of the live-threateninq melamine all over the world , I doubt my parents will allow me to purchase any milk ! ):

then the marshmallows won't taste as heavenly ! *pouts*
